Generative AI has entered the ad creative space so you can level up your product shots and boost your ad performance.

Amazon recently announced its generative AI solution designed to help brands create lifestyle images that produce engaging ads.

For example, if you are running ads and only have product images on a white background, the tool will allow you to create lifestyle images with your product for ads – saving time and money on professional shoots. Amazon states that products in a lifestyle setting can see up to 40% increase in clicks on the ad.

What does the Amazon Generative AI tool do?

This innovative new tool allows you to:

  • Test different creatives with various target audiences.
  • Convey essential product information like ingredients or usage instructions.
  • Keep customers engaged with seasonal images that highlight additional product uses

  • No graphic design team? No problem: Maybe this is hyperbole but this tool has the potential to be a game-changer for so many small businesses! Aside from learning how to prompt correctly, all you have to do to create engaging creatives is to click ‘generate’ and have your product displayed in a lifestyle setting – no graphic design experience is necessary.
  • You save £££ on professional photoshoots: Photographing your products in real-life situations can take a lot of time and money to set up and execute. And, while we don’t think this can fully replace the need to do that, it can at least give you some creatives to use that will help optimise your ads and encourage clicks for a fraction of the price!
  • It saves a lot of time: As we mentioned, all you need to do is click ‘generate’ and choose your preferred background. This saves a lot of time in designing a background from scratch or professional photo shoots.

 

How do you access the tool?

While the tool is still in the beta phase, Amazon has rolled out the tool to selected advertisers and pending customer feedback will be improving the tool.

If you are one of the lucky ones who has been selected, to access the tool you need to go to the Amazon Ad Console > select your product > click Generate!

The tool leverages generative AI to deliver a set of lifestyle and brand-themed images, based on product details, in a matter of seconds.

Our thoughts

We can’t wait until this new tool is available for all advertisers! While it’s only in the Beta phase it has so much potential to make a lot of advertisers lives easier and save a lot of money. With Amazon reporting up to a 40% increase in clicks with products in lifestyle settings, we are excited at the prospect of increased engagement and ultimately sales.
