When you’re a brand and Amazon Seller there are a few big calendar dates you keep in mind; Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Prime Day. Well, now there is another one to add: Fall Prime Day, also dubbed the Prime Early Access sale, is happening this month on the 11th & 12th of October.

We’ve already had July Prime Day this year, which has been running since 2015, where Prime members purchased over 300 million items worldwide and saved over $1.7 billion

While Fall Prime Day is still relatively new, it’s a great opportunity for brands to kick off the Q4 strategy with a bang and test it out!  We have a list of resources that will help you prepare your strategies for this Fall Prime Day.

How to get prepared for Prime Day

Here is a checklist to help make your brand sparkle and propel you toward revenue goals:

  1. Prioritise your strategy effectively
  2. Check Inventory
  3. Introduce promotions on time
  4. Optimise & ensure compliant product detail pages
  5. Review your Brand Store
  6. Optimise & scale your Amazon Advertising campaigns

Preparing your Amazon Ads

The key to running a successful Fall Prime Day Ads strategy is being prepared ahead of time and ensuring you are constantly monitoring your account. Brands must ensure all ad campaigns are structured correctly and optimised and bids are intact. When it comes to budget, create a forecast to avoid wasted spend.

Things to do now before Fall Prime Day is set up a spending forecast and set up specific campaigns. During the two-day period make sure you monitor your campaigns and budgets, and after the event, reduce budgets back as Fall Prime is over.

For more in-depth information on how to manage and optimise your ads, read our blog on what makes an expert Amazon Advertising Prime Day strategy.

Make sure your brand store is optimised!

As Amazon allows you to have multiple “versions” of your store, we suggest creating a Prime Day 2022 version and driving all traffic to this. You can set an end date, so Amazon will automatically revert to your original store once Prime Day has passed.
