Are you an EU brand that generates €2,000 more in sales a year or do you complete 30 or more transactions in the current calendar year?
If you’ve answered yes you have until the 1st of October, 2023, to provide information under the Directive on Administrative Cooperation – 7th Amendment (DAC7).
What is DAC7?
Essentially, this requires online stores in the EU, like those on Amazon, to report revenue and business information to tax authorities annually.
If you meet the criteria above, you must provide or confirm the required information in Seller Central for each store that you sell in by the deadline date: October 1st.
If you become eligible 60 days later, then you need to submit this 60 days after receiving the first notification from Amazon.
The DAC7 will be required for every future calendar year, so make a note of this in your diaries!
What happens if you don’t submit your required DAC7 information?
Your accounts may be deactivated or funds withheld until you provide the required information and it’s verified. So, we recommend making sure you have submitted this in plenty of time for all your Amazon selling accounts!
While Amazon will release more information over the coming months about this, you can find all the current information on DAC7 here. And remember: we are always on hand to answer any questions or doubts so fire away, no question is too big, or too small!
