Some news that affects the Amazon US markets has hit the press over the last couple of months, here’s the lowdown.

You can now track fees with the new SKU Economics report

Amazon has launched a new SKU Economics report to make financial information in the SKU Economics tool more accessible and to illustrate the breakdown of fees, including the recently launched low-inventory-level fee.

The Amazon low-inventory-level fee was introduced at the beginning of the year and charges sellers for when they dip below the minimum low inventory level.

What is SKU Economics?

SKU Economics is a tool on SKU Central, for all third-party sellers, that helps you analyze the profitability of your products.

The report collects fees, sales, ads, off-Amazon costs, and net proceeds in a single view to help you optimize costs and understand your product selection performance.

The new SKU Economics report is downloadable and enables you to view the costs and fees for each product in your catalog all at once.

The report allows you to view the economics of your selection at the FNSKU, MSKU, ASIN, and parent-ASIN level.

Why is the new SKU Economics report useful?

It’s a time saver while giving you the insights to make informed decisions! This single source for historical economics data eliminates the need to merge sales, fees, and ads reports to understand your net proceeds.

The report will help you understand historical data and trends so you can optimize your spending and marketing when it comes to selling on Amazon.

New SAFE-T Claims Dashboard

Another new update that simplifies processes for sellers is the launch of the new SAFE-T Claims dashboard.

The Seller Assurance for E-Commerce Transactions (SAFE-T) Claims is a tool that lets sellers manage returns and refunds, it helps you keep track of all the claims, appeal decisions and gain insights like if there is a product that has a higher percentage of claims then you might want to check if there are product defects.

What is the new SAFE-T Claims dashboard?

The SAFE-T dashboard helps you monitor your SAFE-T claims and related reimbursements and now gives you more information about your claims:

  • The percentage of claims granted
  • Claim amount that’s been granted
  • What the top three claim denial reasons are
  • The top three products with claims.

From this dashboard, you can appeal Amazon’s decision to issue a customer refund. To file a SAFE-T claim you need to:

1. Go to Orders then Manage SAFE-T Claims.
2. Click File a new SAFE-T claim and enter the Order ID.
3. Check eligibility and select the eligible order.
4. Choose the reason for the claim and provide all necessary details and documentation.
5. Click Submit and wait for the confirmation email.
6. Amazon will review the claim and offer a decision soon after.

To use the new dashboard, go to Manage SAFE-T Claims.
